Day 14 was the day of castles. We went to two different castles. The first was cool, but they were celebrating the 40th anniversary of Mazda in Switzerland and we weren't really invited, so we chilled on the grounds for a while before they let us in. They had people dressed up in medieval attire on horses and live music playing around the grounds. Apparently it was something about William Tell but Dave was the only one who really knew what was happening because he was the only one that spoke German.
We hopped a boat to our next castle. This castle really was gorgeous. There were so many different types of rooms. I particularly liked the Turkish smoking room on the top floor of the castle and the pool room. (I think my billiards class may have had an effect on me!) The gardens were absolutely gorgeous! I wish it wouldn't have been raining because that made it slightly difficult, but Cullen grabbed my umbrella and we wandered around.
Now seems like an opportune time to note that the pevious night, Becky took a tumble and cut her head up pretty badly. They took her to the emergency room and she got six stitches. She was such a trooper all day, but she obviously didn't feel well by the end. Kelden used his magic Italian language skills to get us a table in a bar in one of the train stations since Becky shouldn't have been wandering around. We didn't even have to order anything thanks to him!
