Day 23

Oh. My. Word. Scotland has been on my bucket list for years, but I never thought I would love it as much as I did. It is one of the most amazing places in the world.

Highlights of the day included:

• Getting lost on the bus route
• Roaming the Royal Mile
• Getting a first glimpse of Edinburgh Castle
• The Scott Monument
• Underground tour of Mary King's Close
• Hiking Arthur's Seat, an extinct volcano that has an awesome view of the entire city
• Shopping in total tourist traps
• Packed streets with tourists from all over the world; the energy was incredible!
• Bagpipe players, fiddlers, saxophonists, and street performers of all sorts
